Listen, what exactly do you still like about clean CS 1.6? There are so many modern shooters out there with photorealistic graphics, skins, cases and complex physics. Why do hundreds of thousands of people still choose the old blocky models and sprite based blood?
I sometimes catch myself thinking that I want to play de_dust2 specifically in the 1.6 version, but I can’t quite put my finger on what the magic is. Is it just nostalgia for my childhood, or does this game really have some unique balance that newer versions haven’t been able to replicate? Yeah man.. Well CS 1.6 is the classic, there aren’t that many games that are still alive today that are 20+ years old. So of course it’s the best one currently/
