DPA Microphones 4066 Omnidirectional Headset Microphone

Our primary go-to microphone that we use for all of our speakers and pastors during our service is a DPA 4066 Omnidirectional Headband.  These come in various colors and connectors to match wireless transmitters, wired XLR connectors, and to match skin color of your speakers.  We have chosen the DPA 4066 because of it’s comfort level to the individual wearing the mic, the confidence that the mic position will stay intact by utilizing a headset band that uses both ears, and most importantly audio quality.

However, because it would be a catastrophic interruption if a microphone failed for any reason – shorting out, wireless frequency interference, poor audio quality, etc. – anyone on Willow’s stage who is primarily using a wireless mic is wired with two wireless mics.  The DPA 4066 is used as the primary mic, however as a secondary we will use a Countryman B3 lav mic as well.  Again these come in various connectors and colors – we primarily will use black as they are worn on the individual’s shirt.

With the Countryman backup mic, are the people then wearing two wireless transmitters?

You are correct, they wear two transmitters.
